The Crinkle Crankle wall in Walpole Road, Bramfield, viewed from the Church tower opposite, shortly after the wall was cleaned and re-pointed in the late 1990's. These walls, fashioned in curves and visually very pleasing, are an East Anglian feature. The curving, it is said, gives strength plus plantings benefit from the warmth and shelter.
