2 Fox Cottages dates from around 1850 and is now fully updated and restored with gas central heating throughout, but retaining cottage features and exposed beams. This cottage offers an all year round ideal situation for visitors to enjoy the many attractions of this part of north-east Suffolk.

Darsham is a well-placed village being approximately four miles inland from the Suffolk Heritage Coast and close to both the RSPB Nature Reserve at Minsmere and National Trust land at Dunwich. Walkers will also enjoy Dunwich Forest and the heathland at Westleton. The small seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are each less than 10 miles away.
Village facillities include the nearby "Fox" Public House, a cycle hire centre, pottery centre and Darsham Railway Station (East Suffolk Line) where taxis are also available. Other interesting towns and villages are within easy reach offering a good choice of pub and restaurant meals.

The accommodation comprises:

  • Living Room with two-seater settee and armchair, coffee table, radio, digital TV with DVD, nest of tables, bookcase. Woodburner-effect electric fire. Games, books and local information literature.
  • Kitchen/Diner with electric cooker with ceramic hob, fridge, toaster etc. Pine table and chairs/stool.
  • Rear Lobby with larder cupboard housing microwave. Back door.
  • Bathroom, off Lobby, with full-sized bath with shower over, basin and WC. Cental heating boiler.
  • Staircase (new) leads up from the Kitchen. Stairgate.
  • Landing Bedroom with single bed, dressing table, small wardrobe, chair and bedside cabinet. Small window plus modern skylight with blind. Views to gardens and fields.
  • Double Bedroom with double bed, dressing table, chair, bedside cabinets, hanging rail, hairdryer and colour TV. Window overlooks front garden.

Outside:

  • Long front garden which includes private parking space.
  • Small enclosed rear garden. Picnic table available in Summer months. Please note that neighours have a right of way across this garden but this is only occasionally used.

26th June - 28th August £395 per week
28th August - 2nd October £345 per week
2nd October - 30th October £285 per week
30th October - 18th December £240 per week
18th December - 1st January 2011 £295 per week
  • Three or four night Short Breaks are available at two thirds of the weekly tariff from 2nd January 2010 until 27th March 2010
    and 30th October 2010 until 1st January 2011.
  • Tariff includes Gas/Electricity and Bed Linen.
  • Please bring own towels and tea towels.
  • One medium-size dog allowed at no extra charge (two dogs considered on request).
  • Sorry, no children under 12 years.
  • No Smoking allowed in the cottage.
